Party Favors Turns One!

One year ago, we launched Party Favors with a shared passion: providing our clients and fellow wedding friends with educational but fun takeaways surrounding the process of planning and orchestrating impactful events.

Now, as we toast to one year of creative ideas, behind-the-scenes magic, and countless “wow” moments, we’re revisiting our favorite wedding favor trends. Whether you’re planning your own big day or just love a good detail, here’s what’s been inspiring us.

Personalization is Key

This past year reaffirmed what we already knew: personal touches matter. The best favors tell a story—your story.

  • Custom playing cards for the couple who can’t get through a weekend without a card game.

  • Matchboxes with a watercolor painting of the proposal spot? Pure romance.

  • If you have a creative spirit, consider adding a personal touch for your guest to hold onto - an embroidered napkin is the perfect example.

Favors that Feel Like an Experience

People are craving experiences over keepsakes—and wedding favors are no exception.

  • Live guest portraits, whether watercolor or caricature, are not only interactive but incredibly personal.

  • A photo booth with customized printouts adds instant fun and a take-home memory.

  • Tie in your seating chart with a favor—think mini potted plants, seeds with table numbers, or travel tags for a destination celebration.

Festive & Functional

Getting married around the holidays? Lean into it with favors that double as décor and keepsakes.

  • One couple gifted Christmas ornaments designed around their favorite shared hobby—fly fishing. It was personal, seasonal, and so charming.

  • We always suggest including a handwritten thank-you card at each place setting—it’s simple, heartfelt, and never goes out of style.

Meaning Matters

For couples looking to keep things meaningful without going over-the-top, we saw some beautiful gestures this year.

  • Scratch-off lottery tickets were a huge hit—fun, interactive, and easy to personalize.

  • And when couples want to give back? A charitable donation in lieu of favors is always a win—especially when tied to a cause or family member close to their hearts.

It’s been a joy to share this past year with you—highlighting the small touches that bring big heart to every celebration. We’ve laughed, cried (happy tears, of course), and cheered our couples on through every favor brainstorm and last-minute idea.

Here’s to another year of creativity, connection, and unforgettable “party favors”. 🥂

Edible, Shareable & Totally You

You can never go wrong with something delicious. But this year, couples really made edible favors their own.

  • We loved the creativity behind his-and-her snack packs—sweet for her, spicy for him (or vice versa!).

  • The groom’s signature spice rub was a standout—unexpected, flavorful, and so personal.

  • Guests went wild for individual Crumbl cookies, packed up in cute boxes for the reception.

PRO TIP: Think about how you can incorporate a sweet treat for the ride home (or the party bus)!
